Angela Simonyan, music without boundaries
Angela Simonyan was born August 27, 1994 in Armenia. His grandmother and his mother saw the Soviet Armenia. Grandmother laments a time when everyone had work, she worked at the factory, the mother enjoys the freedom of expression that exists today, it was Professor of Music.
Today they are seeking asylum in France.
For them, France was a country of culture and equality between men and women, rich and poor, a humanitarian haven. The country of freedom.
Angela's mother refused lifestyle of her husband and had to leave Armenia.
Angela had not imagined his arrival in France as that: she did not know she had a hotel for home. To her classmates she is primarily foreign, not a refugee. She gave an interview to the newspaper because she could not say no, but Angela does not like to flaunt his life in public.
The life of a refugee is never knowing when the letter of the prefecture will happen. The letter ordered to leave the country, some have already received in the hotel. Angela and her family have already received a denial of OFPRA and wait the response of their second appeal. If they are there is that they have chosen France: they are not thinking about leaving.
At Thionville, it is the association Athens which helps asylum seekers in their work and in life every day.
Meanwhile, her mother and grandmother after the French course of our Lady Parish and Angela is also an interpreter for them and the people of hotel. It is a pleasure to help. She remembers all too well when she did not yet speak French and no one helped her. It took a month to start talking. When we arrived without speaking a word and nobody understands what they say, decide to learn very quickly adapt. Angela still does not talk much in class because it needs to be confidence to dare to speak freely.
Angela goes to college and took courses in violin at the Conservatory of Elizabeth Bauer. At the request of Mr. Filippi, pastor of Our Lady, Roland Kirch, which has a long career as a symphony violinist behind him, has agreed to repeat Angela at the hotel because it is not possible to play without disturbing neighbors.
Angela is the violin since the age of eight.
For her, music is to understand and feel, make something of himself in the game A our church Lady Angela played the "bird" a piece of Komitas, Armenian famous musicians exiled in Paris during the genocide. The music wants what she wants, emotion and tears come to pass in the eyes of those who listen.
In Armenia, Angela took the 1 st price Contest "Road renaissance" when she was in 6 th . In 2006 she joined the choir What's it belonged to focus on violin and two months after the choir was going to France to accompany Charles Aznavour and Helene Segara (which is also of Armenian origin) on the stage of the Opera Garnier in Paris ...
And now here she left her friends behind her and began his other life zero. Angela wanted to leave, she could no longer continue to play the violin there.
